The eye level cooperation between Germany and Norway is a true success story, with the U212CD programme as the most recent example of the long standing partnership. This close cooperation with the Norwegian industry, the Norwegian authorities and the Royal Norwegian Navy shows that we can successfully work together as equals.
The Frigate F127 would continue this success story and intensify a mutually beneficial partnership. For the potential frigate project, we have already identified more than 50 systems and components that could be sourced directly from Norwegian companies - more to follow. This extensive industrial cooperation, would reliably generate significant domestic value in Norway, building on a proven process successfully implemented in the U212CD programme.
Germany offers a significant opportunity for a broad involvement of capable Norwegian maritime and defense industry beyond the already integrated Norwegian U212CD supply chain partners.
Building on the proven supply chain partnerships established during the U212CD program, Team Germany continues to identify new opportunities for extensive involvement of Norwegian companies. To date, more than 50 potential systems and components have been identified that could be supplied by Norwegian industry.
For the P1180 New Frigate project, Team Germany offers a vast range of industrial cooperation projects in various categories. A strong focus is placed on direct industrial collaboration, with multiple Norwegian industry partners already identified. These range from prominent multinational companies such as Kongsberg and Nammo to Norwegian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
