After successfully completing your studies at school, thyssenkrupp Marine Systems gives you the option of combining vocational training with academic studies as part of a dual study program. You complete either a commercial or technical training at one of our companies, and also take a corresponding course of study at one of our partner universities. This means you can always apply your theoretical knowledge directly and hands-on to your job. The completion of one of our dual study programs kickstarts a career as a professional at thyssenkrupp Marine Systems.

You can apply to us even if your school grades are poor, because we have often experienced that secondary modern school pupils can become excellent skilled workers. This year we have removed the school requirements from the job advertisements for the first time since looking on the school grades is no longer up to date for us.

University Students

During your studies, thyssenkrupp Marine Systems helps you to extend your theoretical knowledge with practical experience. You can learn the ropes at TKMS during an internship or for your final piece of practical coursework. And we'll get to know you, too. After all: talent is always wanted. This is also why we provide scholarships to foster high potentials.

At thyssenkrupp Marine Systems, keen students can apply and evaluate the knowledge they have gained at university by putting it into practice. During a foundational or specialized internship, you'll work in one of our project teams. Here, you'll gain practical experience valuable during your studies and when you start your career. Internships are oriented on the on-going projects, the core topics of your studies and our internship support resources.

Our internationally-oriented trainee programs provide comprehensive preparation for your future career at thyssenkrupp Marine Systems. Anyone eager to put their theoretical knowledge to use in real projects as soon as possible can also be assigned to one of our project teams and will rapidly take on responsibilities. In either case, you can look forward to new and interesting challenges.

Tackle new challenges straight out of university: As a direct entrant, thyssenkrupp Marine Systems will use on-the-job training to guide you through your new duties step by step. This entails taking on your own responsibilities within the team. You will have access to many interesting career prospects and opportunities for promotion. Each step of the way, you'll be supported by our professional development program.
